Editorial Guidelines

At CrayonTap, every coloring page goes through a careful selection and review process. These guidelines ensure our content remains high-quality, age-appropriate, and enjoyable for all users.

Content Standards

  • Family-friendly — all content must be appropriate for children of all ages. No violence, frightening imagery, or adult themes.
  • Artistic quality — line art must be clean, well-defined, and suitable for coloring with clear regions and boundaries.
  • Diversity & inclusion — we strive to represent a wide range of cultures, characters, and themes across our collections.
  • Accuracy — character designs and themed content should be recognizable and faithful to their source material.

Review Process

  1. Selection — pages are sourced from original artists, public domain works, and licensed content providers.
  2. Quality check — each page is reviewed for line clarity, appropriate complexity, and print-readiness.
  3. Categorization — pages are organized into themes and collections with accurate titles and descriptions.
  4. Technical validation — interactive SVG pages are tested for proper region detection, fill behavior, and responsive rendering.

What We Don't Publish

  • Content depicting violence, weapons, or gore
  • Sexually suggestive or explicit imagery
  • Content promoting discrimination or hate
  • Low-resolution or poorly traced artwork
  • Pages with illegible or overly complex designs that are not suitable for coloring

Content Updates

We regularly review our existing content to ensure it continues to meet these standards. Pages that no longer meet our guidelines are updated or removed. New content is added on an ongoing basis across all categories.
